Sampdoria struggles at bottom of Serie B following Mantova defeat

Sampdoria is facing a severe crisis in Serie B, currently sitting at the bottom of the league standings with only one point after four matches. Following a 2-0 home defeat against Mantova, the team is struggling with defensive fragility and a lack of offensive production.

Despite significant summer signings including Lorenzo Insigne and Gennaro Tutino, the squad has failed to find rhythm. Forward Tobias Lauritsen missed a crucial penalty during the recent match, and the team currently holds the second-worst attacking record in the league.

The club's performance has placed manager Bernardo Corradi under scrutiny, with upcoming matches against Catanzaro and Avellino viewed as potentially decisive for his position. This period of instability follows a difficult recent history for the club, including a previous relegation to Serie C.
