Samson Tijani joins FK Železiarne Podbrezová on loan
Nigerian midfielder Samson Tijani has joined the Slovakian club FK Železiarne Podbrezová on a one-year loan deal. The agreement, which includes an option for a permanent two-year transfer, sees the player move from the Czech side FK Dukla Praha.
Tijani, 23, brings international experience to the Niké liga side, having earned three caps for the Nigerian senior national team. He previously played for Red Bull Salzburg and captained Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets at the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Podbrezová general manager Miroslav Poliaček described Tijani as a “creative and dynamic midfielder” who offers a different tactical profile than the current squad, noting that his inclusion will provide a necessary impulse to the team’s midfield.
