Samsun Archery Cup Concludes with Turkish Teams Securing Bronze

The Turkish Archery Federation held the 15 July Democracy and National Unity Cup – second leg (TSP 2) in Samsun from 29 July to 2 August 2026. The competition featured classic and recurve bow categories, with individual and team matches determining rankings. The final day included a recurve individual elimination round, and awards were presented by Samsun Youth and Sports Director Feyzullah Dereci, who praised the event’s contribution to the development of Turkish archery.

In the team competition, Nevşehir Simya College’s 9‑B class students Mehmet Burak Çetin and Doruk Aras Feralan, representing the Nevşehir Youth and Sports Directorate Archery Team, earned a bronze medal in the U21 Men’s Team category, securing Turkey’s third place overall. Their performance was highlighted as a source of pride for the school and the local community.
