Samsun begins construction on 1.1 billion TL water treatment plant

Construction has begun on the Salıpazarı Dam Drinking Water Treatment Plant, a project managed by the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Water and Sewerage Administration (SASKİ). The investment is valued at 1.1 billion TL.

Once completed, the facility will have a daily purification capacity of 100,000 cubic meters. It is designed to provide continuous and sustainable drinking water to the Salıpazarı, Çarşamba, and Terme districts. The process will involve physical and chemical treatment stages for raw water sourced from the Salıpazarı Dam.

The project includes the construction of treatment units, clean water storage, sludge management systems, and administrative buildings. Additionally, the infrastructure work involves laying 8,300 meters of pipeline, consisting of a 3,950-meter steel transmission line and a 4,350-meter ductile pipe line to distribute treated water to existing and planned reservoirs.
