Samsun City Hospital technician attacked with electric kettle

A radiology technician was seriously injured during an unprovoked attack at Samsun City Hospital. The incident occurred in the radiology unit during a tomography procedure when a 28-year-old individual, identified as Ömürcan E., allegedly attacked 24-year-old technician Yusuf Yakut Karaman.

According to reports, the assailant first slapped the technician before striking him repeatedly with an electric water kettle found in the room. The assault resulted in a broken shoulder and a laceration to the technician's eyebrow. A cleaning staff member who attempted to intervene was also injured in the face.

Following the incident, the suspect was taken into custody by police and transferred to the Samsun Courthouse. After appearing before a judge, Ömürcan E. was arrested and sent to the Samsun T-Type Closed Prison.
