Samsun: Container found at sea contains ruined tea

Fishermen discovered a shipping container floating in the sea approximately three miles off the coast of the Alaçam district in Samsun. The container was towed by fishing boats to the Alaçam Toplu Köyü Limanı.

Upon arrival, gendarmerie teams conducted a controlled opening of the container. An inspection revealed that the container was filled with tea. However, due to the time spent at sea, the tea had become wet and was deemed unusable. Authorities have announced that the damaged goods will be destroyed.
