Samsun gas cylinder fire spreads to nearby buildings and apartments

A fire broke out at a gas cylinder dealership in the Çay neighborhood of the Tekkeköy district in Samsun, Turkey. The cause of the fire is currently unknown. During the incident, gas cylinders at the facility exploded in succession, causing significant panic in the surrounding area.

The flames spread to an adjacent business and several apartments in a nearby six-story building. Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams responded to the scene to combat the blaze, receiving support from a TOMA (armored water cannon vehicle) belonging to the Samsun Police Department.

Four individuals, including firefighting personnel, were treated for smoke inhalation and transported to the hospital by ambulance. While the condition of the firefighters is reported as not serious, an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage to nearby structures.
