Battalgazi Municipality Wraps Up Summer School Program with Festival

The Battalgazi Municipality’s month‑long summer school program for 5th‑8th grade students concluded with a public celebration at Kırkgöz Sahil Park. Organized by the municipality’s Culture, Art and Social Services Directorate, the initiative offered free classes in multiple venues—including Hasırcılar Culture Center, Eskimalatya Education Center, and local libraries—covering Quranic studies, etiquette, values education, and a range of cultural and sporting activities. Throughout the program, students participated in open‑air bus tours to historic sites such as Arslantepe Höyüğü, Poyraz Konağı, Tahtalı Hamam and Hasan Basri Tomb, deepening their knowledge of the district’s heritage. The closing festival featured children’s games, performances, refreshments and the distribution of gifts, marking the end of the educational and social‑cultural experience.

The event was aimed at providing a blend of learning and community engagement during the summer break, fostering both academic enrichment and social interaction among the youth of Battalgazi.
