Samsun hosts wedding of Turkish man and Filipina woman
Soner Göktürk, a civil servant and sports photographer from Samsun, and Jenilynda Macasaya, a visitor from the Philippines, have married in the Alaçam district of Samsun, Turkey.
The couple first met in Bursa while Macasaya was traveling and working in Turkey. Despite the significant distance and cultural differences between their home countries, they maintained their relationship through frequent video calls and visits.
The wedding ceremony was held at the Geyikkoşan Teacher's House restaurant in Alaçam. The marriage was officiated by Alaçam Mayor Ramazan Özdemir in the presence of family and friends. Macasaya expressed her happiness regarding her new life in Turkey and the hospitality of the Turkish people.
