Samsun Metropolitan Municipality launches social support programs

Samsun Metropolitan Municipality has introduced several new initiatives aimed at supporting individuals with special needs and families in rural areas.

As part of its social services, the municipality is offering a free handicrafts course specifically designed for children with autism to support their fine motor skills and social integration. Additionally, a free nutritional counseling service is available for individuals with special needs and their families, providing personalized nutrition programs and body analysis at the Engelsiz Yaşam Merkezi in Canik Millet Bahçesi.

Under the 'Biz Geldik' project, the municipality also organized a community event at Vezirköprü Karkucak Primary School. This initiative, conducted in collaboration with various provincial directorates, provided children with cultural activities, games, and a mobile library. The program also offered parents health screenings, psychological support, and workshops in traditional crafts such as basket weaving and ebru art.
