Turkish municipalities launch seasonal cinema and cultural programs

Various municipalities and cultural institutions in Turkey are launching seasonal film and festival programs.

In Samsun, the Metropolitan Municipality is hosting ‘Open-Air Cinema Nights’ across 17 districts from August 14 to September 2. The program features the film ‘Mucize’ and includes refreshments such as popcorn and ice cream for attendees.

Denizli Metropolitan Municipality has implemented the ‘Cinema Days in My Village’ project in the Çivril rural area, screening the film ‘Dondurmam Gaymak’ to increase cultural access for rural residents.

In Malatya, Mayor Sami Er attended the Culture Road Festival, highlighting the city’s normalization following earthquake recovery and emphasizing support for women entrepreneurs through local workshops and sales offices.

Additionally, the Pera Museum’s film program, ‘Şimdi Uzaklardasın’, will run from September 9 to October 11, showcasing seven cult classics including works by Quentin Tarantino, the Coen Brothers, and David Lynch.
