Samsun Mini‑Wrestlers Secure Multiple National Medals

Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı visited the 19 Mayıs Engiz Sports Club after the club’s wrestlers earned several top‑three finishes at the 2nd Turkey Mini‑Wrestling Championship. The event, organized by the Turkish Wrestling Federation in Ankara, saw Erdal Baki İlhan win the Greco‑Roman national title and place third in freestyle, while teammates Berat Topal, İbrahim Bilal Şen, Hüseyin Niyazi Ayar and Berat Kılıç each captured bronze medals in their weight classes. Eymen Erol Deniz finished fifth overall. Governor Tavlı thanked the athletes, coaches and families, and wished them success in future competitions.

The achievements highlight the strength of the youth wrestling program in Samsun and the broader development of the sport in Turkey.
