Samsun protocol reviews strategic education, health and industry projects
A protocol delegation led by Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı, along with MPs Mehmet Muş and Ersan Aksu, Mayor Halit Doğan and AK Party provincial head Mehmet Köse, inspected a series of ongoing strategic projects across the city. The team first visited the Mustafa Demir City Library in Atakum, a building that won Europe’s “Best Public Building Architecture” award and is slated to hold 525,000 books, making it one of Turkey’s largest libraries.
Next, they examined the construction of the 350‑bed Atakum State Hospital, intended to strengthen regional health services. The delegation also toured the rapidly advancing Samsun Justice Campus, which will host the Regional Court of Appeals, Regional Administrative Court and Administrative and Tax Courts once completed. Further inspections covered the New Organized Industrial and Technology Zone, a high‑technology hub aimed at boosting industrial and value‑added production, and the Tekkeköy East Advanced Biological Wastewater Treatment Plant, where a sludge carbonisation unit is being built to convert roughly 70 tonnes of waste sludge per day into energy. Officials reported that all projects are proceeding according to the planned schedule.
