Samsun initiates digital, industrial, and environmental development plans

Samsun is implementing several strategic initiatives to enhance its digital, industrial, and environmental infrastructure. Local authorities, led by Governor Orhan Tavlı, are coordinating efforts to attract investment in AI-supported data centers by evaluating the city's digital capabilities and creating a roadmap for new investments.

To support industrial growth, a new protocol has been signed between the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and the Middle Black Sea Development Agency (OKA). This program aims to develop a qualified technical workforce for high-value sectors, including automotive parts, metal processing, defense, and medical industries. Training will focus on advanced technologies such as CNC machining, SolidWorks design, and fiber laser cutting.

Additionally, the city is moving forward with 15 environmental projects designed to improve quality of life and protect the local ecosystem. Discussions are also underway to ensure environmental engineers are integrated into newly established Organized Industrial Zones to maintain regulatory compliance and sustainability.
