Samsun to host Ottoman Turkish readings of Safahat

A new cultural program titled ‘Mehmet Âkif Ersoy and Ottoman Turkish Safahat Readings’ is set to begin in Samsun. Organized through a collaboration between the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality and the Samsun Branch of the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti, the event focuses on the literary work Safahat by Mehmet Âkif Ersoy.

Led by narrator Adnan İpekdal, the sessions will analyze the text through its original Ottoman Turkish context. The readings are scheduled to take place every Tuesday in October at 18:00, hosted at the historic Sadi Tekkesi and Kuvâ-yi Milliye Museum in the İlkadım district. The program aims to help literature enthusiasts understand the work within its historical linguistic and cultural framework.
