Samsung advances Galaxy Ring 2 wearable with potential iPhone compatibility

Samsung has confirmed development of a second‑generation smart ring, the Galaxy Ring 2, which will build on its first device released two years ago. Senior Vice President Dr. Hon Pak said the upcoming version will feature hardware upgrades such as a larger battery extending wear time to nine‑ten days, a slimmer, lighter design, and redesigned sensors for more accurate skin‑temperature and cardiovascular monitoring. He emphasized that software and health‑data analytics will be the key differentiator, stating, “If you look at the comparison of other rings… It’s really about what services you create on the top layer.”

Pak also hinted that the new ring could work with Apple’s iPhone, noting, “I’m smiling but I can’t say anything. I think you’ll be very pleased with some of the releases and the upcoming news.” While no official iOS compatibility has been confirmed, the potential cross‑platform support could broaden the ring’s market beyond Android users.
