Samsung unveils Galaxy Z Fold8 series and advances One UI 9 beta

Samsung has launched its new Galaxy Z Fold8, Z Fold8 Ultra, and Z Flip8 foldable series, featuring enhanced Galaxy AI capabilities and improved hardware. The Z Fold8 Ultra specifically highlights an 8-inch main display and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 platform to support intensive multitasking and productivity through features like Multi Window and a dedicated Taskbar.

In software developments, Samsung is progressing with the One UI 9 beta program, based on Android 17. The sixth beta version has been released for the Galaxy S26 series, focusing on system stability and fixing issues with the Now Brief widget and Expert RAW photography. The beta program is expected to expand to mid-range devices, with indications that the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A54 may soon receive beta access.

While the new foldable hardware has received praise for its design and performance, some users have reported concerns regarding the visibility of display creases on the Z Fold8 models over time. Additionally, the Galaxy Z Flip 8 has been noted as a refined but incremental update for existing users, offering a slimmer design and better performance without significant changes to camera or battery hardware.
