Samsung Galaxy smartphones are equipped with a feature called RAM Plus that allocates part of the device’s internal storage as virtual RAM to extend multitasking capability. On models that already have 8 GB or 12 GB of physical RAM, many users notice that turning off RAM Plus improves responsiveness and overall smoothness, because internal UFS storage is slower than LPDDR RAM and introduces latency when used as virtual memory.
