Samsung aims to debut humanoid robot at CES 2027

Samsung is reportedly accelerating the development of its first humanoid robot, with plans to potentially showcase a prototype at CES 2027 in Las Vegas. The project is being managed by the Robotics Transformation (RX) unit within the company’s Device eXperience (DX) division.

To streamline development, Samsung is integrating its hardware and software engineering teams under a unified leadership structure. This approach aims to synchronize the mechanical development of the robot’s body—including joints, hands, and movement mechanisms—with the artificial intelligence required for autonomous reasoning and environmental perception.

The company has already filed several patents related to advanced robotics, focusing on flexible hip joints, sophisticated robotic hands, and AI-driven motion control systems. This strategic move seeks to expand Samsung’s application of artificial intelligence beyond traditional electronic devices into the field of autonomous robotics.
