Samsung and Google release critical system updates and bug fixes

Samsung users are receiving critical system updates and software refinements for their devices. Google has released updates for three essential Android system apps: Android System Intelligence, Android System WebView, and Private Compute Services. These updates, which include security patches and performance improvements, may require manual installation via the device settings under Google Services > All Services > System Services, as they do not always appear automatically in the Google Play Store or Galaxy Store.

Additionally, Samsung has released Beta 5 for the Galaxy S26 series running One UI 9.0. This update focuses on resolving significant system bugs and includes the August 2026 security patch, which addresses 56 security vulnerabilities. Key fixes in this build target issues such as the Settings app freezing, camera preview failures on the lock screen, rendering errors in the photo and video editor, and screen flickering during playback.
