Samsung and Google unveil AI‑powered smart glasses

Samsung Electronics and Google announced a new line of premium smart glasses at the Google I/O 2026 event. Developed together with fashion partners Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, the devices combine Samsung’s hardware expertise with Google’s Gemini AI to deliver voice‑activated assistance, real‑time translation, notifications, navigation and hands‑free photo and video capture.

The glasses are designed to integrate tightly with the Samsung Galaxy ecosystem, allowing users to control phones, tablets and smart‑home devices without touching them. The first models are slated for release in select markets in the fall of 2026, with pricing and broader distribution details to follow.
