Samsung and Huawei announce new wearable technology updates

Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Buds3 FE, a more affordable option in its wireless earbud lineup. These earbuds feature an active noise cancellation (ANC) system using a triple microphone setup, along with an Ambient mode to allow environmental awareness. Designed with a stem-based architecture, they include touch and swipe controls for playback and volume.

The Buds3 FE offer up to 6 hours of listening time with ANC enabled, extending to a total of 24 hours when using the charging case. They are integrated with the Samsung ecosystem, supporting Galaxy AI features such as Live Interpreter for real-time translation during calls and in-person conversations. The device carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance and is priced at approximately $149.99.

Separately, Huawei is enhancing its wearable capabilities with the Watch GT 7 series. The new smartwatches focus on data interpretation rather than just collection. Key features include Physical Readiness, which assesses bodily regeneration based on sleep, heart rate variability, and emotional state, and Morning Briefing, which provides context regarding sleep and activity levels. The Celia AI Health Insights feature further integrates data from heart activity, stress, diet, and medication use to provide comprehensive health analysis.
