Samsung and LG secure major international design awards

South Korean technology giants Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics have received significant recognition at major international design competitions.

Samsung Electronics earned a total of 45 awards at the IDEA 2026, including one Impact Award for its appliance accessibility design, which focuses on users with varying physical characteristics. Samsung also secured 12 awards at the Red Dot Design Awards 2026, including a ‘Best of the Best’ honor for the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s privacy display.

LG Electronics received 17 awards at IDEA 2026, including five bronze awards. Notable winners include the LG Signature OLED W wireless wallpaper TV and the LG PuriCare AeroMini air purifier. With these latest honors, LG has now secured wins across the world’s three major design competitions: Red Dot, iF Design, and IDEA.
