Samsung readies Galaxy Buds On clip‑on earbuds for upcoming release
Samsung is preparing its first clip‑on, open‑ear earbuds, identified as "Galaxy Buds On" after the name appeared in a recent update of the Galaxy Wearable app. The device will attach to the outer ear like an earring, allowing the user to hear ambient sound while listening to audio. Leaks suggest the model number is SM‑U600 and that the design follows the open‑ear style used by competitors such as Motorola's Moto Buds Loop, Huawei's FreeClip 2, Sony's Clip Linkbuds, Bose Ultra Open Earbuds and others.
The earbuds are not expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 July; analysts anticipate a later launch, possibly paired with the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE. Samsung has not released official specifications or confirmed the product, but the advanced development stage indicates a near‑term market introduction.
If released, Galaxy Buds On would expand Samsung's Galaxy Buds portfolio beyond its traditional intra‑auricular models and position the company in the rapidly growing clip‑on audio segment.
