Samsung announces Galaxy S26 FE with Exynos 2500 chipset

Samsung has globally announced the Galaxy S26 FE, a cost-effective model within the S series. The device features the Exynos 2500, a 3nm high-end processor utilizing Samsung’s Gate All Around (GAA) manufacturing process. This chipset offers significant upgrades over its predecessor, including a more powerful GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 3 architecture and a 40% increase in NPU computing hardware.

The smartphone runs on Android 17 with the One UI 9 interface. New software features include ‘My FanCam’ for automatic subject tracking, ‘Horizon Lock’ to stabilize video during rotation, and ‘Photo Assist,’ an AI-driven tool for editing backgrounds and elements. Additionally, the ‘Now Brief’ function has been enhanced to create text widgets from natural language commands.

Hardware specifications include a 6.7-inch FHD OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1900 nits peak brightness. The device is equipped with a triple camera system (wide, ultra-wide, and 3x telephoto), a 4900mAh battery supporting 45W wired and 15W wireless charging, and IP68 water and dust resistance. The Galaxy S26 FE is scheduled for release on September 4, 2026, with a starting price of $699.99.
