Samsung conducts GSAT for second-half recruitment

Samsung has conducted the Samsung Global Aptitude Test (GSAT) on September 24 and 25 as part of its second-half recruitment process. The examination involved 19 affiliates, including Samsung Electronics, Samsung C&T, Samsung Biologics, and Samsung Display. The GSAT is designed to evaluate applicants' comprehensive thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, Samsung has administered the GSAT online, allowing candidates to take the test via PC from independent locations. For specialized roles, software applicants underwent separate competency tests, while design applicants were evaluated through portfolio reviews. Following the GSAT, the recruitment process will proceed to interviews and health examinations next month to finalize new hires.

Samsung has maintained its regular open recruitment system for 70 years, having introduced it in 1957. It remains the only company among South Korea’s four largest business groups to continue this practice. This initiative aligns with the company’s 2023 announcement to hire 60,000 new employees over five years to secure talent in high-growth sectors such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.
