Samsung delays Galaxy S26 One UI 9 beta update amid Google Play System pause

Samsung has temporarily halted the Google Play System update for the One UI 9.0 beta (Android 17) on its Galaxy S26 devices. The pause, coordinated with Google, affects the only active beta program, but critical security fixes continue to be delivered through the beta channel. Samsung said the update will resume at an appropriate time, likely after the stable version of One UI 9 is released.

Separately, the Samsung Korea community forum reports that One UI 9 Beta 5 is expected to launch between 10 August and 15 August, initially in South Korea before rolling out to other markets that support the beta program. Users anticipate bug fixes, improved system stability, and new AI‑driven features as the beta progresses.
