Samsung delays One UI 9 beta 4 rollout for Galaxy S26 series

Samsung confirmed that the fourth beta of its upcoming One UI 9, built on Android 17, will be released next week, around July 13 2026, after a short postponement. The delay is intended to improve stability, addressing issues such as a slow Quick Panel and bugs with Secure Folder app hiding.

The beta 4 update will initially be offered to the Galaxy S26 family – S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra – which have been part of the testing program since the first beta. Samsung also continues to test One UI 9 on a broader roster, including budget models like the Galaxy A36, mid‑range devices such as the Galaxy S25 FE, and the 2023 foldable series (Galaxy Z Fold 5, Z Flip 5). Upcoming foldables (Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8) are planned to ship with One UI 9 pre‑installed.

One UI 9 promises a more flexible quick panel, resizable sliders, enhanced multitask support for Samsung DeX, new pen styles for Samsung Notes, and refined Game Booster controls. Samsung says the fourth beta marks a late‑stage checkpoint, indicating the software is nearing final readiness before a public release in the coming weeks.
