Samsung details Galaxy Watch 9 specs and pushes Galaxy Ring 2 launch to 2027
Samsung inadvertently confirmed its upcoming Galaxy Watch 9 after the device name appeared on the Samsung Canada website, indicating the product is in final stages of development. The smartwatch will use the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset, support native 5G and ultra‑wideband (UWB) connectivity, and feature expanded health monitoring capabilities. Samsung is slated to unveil the Galaxy Watch 9 at its Unpacked event in London on 25 July, alongside its latest foldable phones.
Separately, Samsung has delayed the release of the second‑generation Galaxy Ring from an anticipated 2026 launch to 2027. The postponement is intended to avoid a simple refresh and to deliver significant upgrades, including a battery life of nine to ten days, a slimmer and lighter design, and more precise health sensors for temperature, sleep analysis and cardiovascular monitoring.
