Samsung readies Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Z Flip 8 for July launch

Samsung has secured multiple regulatory certifications for its upcoming foldable flagship lineup. A Bluetooth certification identifies the next model as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, signalling a shift to the “Ultra” naming convention for its top‑tier foldables. Separate FCC filings confirm the Galaxy Z Flip 8 (model SM‑F776U) for the U.S., listing extensive 5G band support and satellite‑communication capability (NB‑NTN B255). Additional certifications from BIS, SGS‑Fimko and other bodies indicate the devices meet technical and safety standards in several markets.

The three devices – Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Flip 8 – are slated for a joint unveiling at Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in London on 22 July. Reported specifications include a 200 MP main camera and a 5,000 mAh battery for the Ultra model, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 or Exynos 2600 processors depending on region, 12‑16 GB RAM, and 120 Hz Dynamic AMOLED displays. The Z Flip 8 will feature a 6.9‑inch foldable display, 4,300 mAh battery, 25 W charging and a 50 MP camera.

These moves aim to consolidate Samsung’s position in the competitive foldable market, offering clearer product tiers and broader global rollout ahead of the summer launch.
