Samsung expands foldable lineup and develops One UI 9.5

Samsung is expanding its foldable smartphone lineup and software ecosystem. The company is reportedly preparing to launch up to five foldable devices by 2027, including the Galaxy Z Fold9, Z Flip9, a second-generation TriFold, and a new wide-screen model optimized for video streaming.

Recent reviews and leaks highlight the current Galaxy Z Fold8 series, specifically the Fold8, Fold8 Ultra, and Flip8. The Fold8 Ultra is positioned as a high-end productivity tool with an 8-inch display, while the Flip8 focuses on portability and compact design. The Fold8 series has seen significant consumer interest, with some reports noting high pre-order volumes.

On the software front, Samsung is developing One UI 9.5. Leaked internal builds suggest several enhancements, including smoother animations, a redesigned camera interface, and an 'App Mirroring' feature to improve connectivity between Galaxy phones and PCs. Additionally, a new 'Warranty and Care' menu is being introduced in One UI 9 to centralize device diagnostics, warranty status, and repair booking for the latest foldable models.
