Samsung Electronics and Korail launch paperless ticketing in Samsung Wallet

Samsung Electronics has launched a "paperless ticket" service within Samsung Wallet in collaboration with Korail. Starting August 10, 2026, customers can automatically register mobile tickets in Samsung Wallet after paying at Korail offline station counters.

Users can also add tickets issued via the integrated "Korail+" app using the "Add to Wallet" feature. The service includes functionality to process refunds and returns directly within the app. To improve user convenience, registered tickets sync with Galaxy device calendars and Now Brief to provide boarding time notifications and schedule management.

Regarding high-speed rail integration, SRT tickets will transition to KTX-Sancheon starting September 1, 2026, with Samsung Wallet support beginning for tickets operating from September. Samsung Electronics stated that the initiative aims to reduce the costs of producing and disposing of physical tickets while contributing to environmental protection.
