Samsung Electronics hosts AI Forum 2026 on agentic technology

Samsung Electronics hosted its 10th annual Samsung AI Forum 2026 in Seoul, focusing on the theme ‘The Agentic Shift: From Intelligence to Impact’. The event gathered approximately 400 experts, including researchers and industry leaders, to discuss the transition from simple generative AI to agentic AI—systems capable of autonomous decision-making and task execution—and physical AI, which integrates intelligence into the physical world through robotics.

Samsung Vice Chairman and CEO Jun Young-hyun emphasized that agentic AI will fundamentally transform organizational culture and work methodologies. The forum featured keynote addresses from prominent figures, including Richard Ho, head of hardware at OpenAI, who discussed the shift from chatbots to agentic workflows, and David Green from Amazon Web Services (AWS), who addressed security and governance strategies for enterprise AI deployment.

Technical sessions were divided into two tracks: the Device eXperience (DX) division focused on efficient AI, physical AI, and continual learning for consumer electronics, while the Device Solutions (DS) division highlighted AI applications in semiconductor design and manufacturing. Global partners such as Dell Technologies and Anthropic also presented use cases for enterprise AI agents and AI factories.
