Samsung Electronics partners with US lab for extreme cold heating tech

Samsung Electronics is collaborating with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) to develop advanced heat pump technology capable of operating in extreme temperatures below -30°C.

The research focuses on enhancing vapor-compression technology to ensure stable heating and hot water supply in frigid climates, such as North America and Northern Europe.
