Samsung Electronics to invest 1.7 trillion KRW in Hwaseong City

Hwaseong City and Samsung Electronics have signed a ‘Future Growth Mutual Cooperation Agreement’ to strengthen competitiveness in future advanced industries and revitalize the local economy. Under this partnership, Samsung Electronics plans to implement an investment totaling approximately 1.7 trillion KRW within Hwaseong City.

The agreement focuses on several key areas: expanding Samsung’s investment and supporting stable corporate activities, enhancing research and business functions, strengthening competitiveness in future advanced industries, and fostering local community coexistence. Hwaseong City has committed to strengthening its administrative support and collaboration systems to respond quickly to issues arising from Samsung’s investment and business activities.

Mayor Jeong Myeong-geun stated that the agreement serves as a starting point to connect corporate growth with the city’s future, while Samsung Electronics emphasized that Hwaseong remains a vital business hub for its continued growth.
