Samsung Galaxy A08 debuts with 6,000 mAh battery

Samsung is quietly rolling out its new entry-level Galaxy A08 smartphone, with product pages appearing on official websites in regions including Serbia and Bosnia-Herzegovina. Retail listings in the United Arab Emirates suggest the device is already available for approximately 625 AED (around $170) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant.

A primary upgrade for the Galaxy A08 is its 6,000 mAh battery, a significant increase from the 5,000 mAh capacity found in its predecessor, the Galaxy A07. The device is expected to feature a 6.7-inch PLS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

Technical specifications indicate the phone will likely utilize a MediaTek Helio G99 processor and support LPDDR5X RAM. Storage options are expected to include 64GB, 128GB, or 256GB, with microSD expansion support up to 2TB. The camera setup consists of a 50MP main sensor, a 2MP depth sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera. The device also maintains a 3.5mm headphone jack and carries an IP64 rating for dust and splash resistance.
