Samsung expands One UI 9 testing to dozens of Galaxy phones ahead of July launch

Samsung is widening internal testing of its upcoming One UI 9 software, built on Android 17, to a broad slate of Galaxy devices. Confirmed test builds now include flagship models such as the Galaxy S23 FE, S24, S24 FE, S25, S26, mid‑range A‑series phones (A35, A56, A57, A37), budget M‑series devices (M34), and the latest foldables Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. The only publicly available beta remains limited to the Galaxy S26 series, which has already received three beta updates.

The company plans to unveil One UI 9 officially at the Galaxy Unpacked event scheduled for 22 July in London, where the first foldable smartphones will ship with the new interface pre‑installed. Samsung’s Good Lock customization suite is being updated for One UI 9, with modules such as LockStar (v9.0.00.5) already supporting the new UI. Additionally, a redesign of the Galaxy Wearable app, featuring a new tab layout and AI‑generated watch‑face suggestions, is slated for release alongside the One UI 9.0 Watch update.
