Samsung Exynos 2700 reportedly outperforms Snapdragon 8 Elite in tests
Leaked internal benchmark results suggest Samsung’s upcoming Exynos 2700 processor may outperform Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. According to reports from South Korea, the Exynos 2700, built on Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm (SF2P) process, achieved approximately 13,000 points in Geekbench 6.5 multi-core tests, roughly 20% higher than the Snapdragon’s 11,000 points.
In Geekbench 7.0 testing, the Exynos chip maintained a 15% lead. Graphics performance also showed significant gains, with reported GPU benchmarks exceeding the Snapdragon by approximately 20%, though the margin reportedly narrows to about 5% in demanding 3D gaming environments. The chip is expected to feature a 10-core design with a maximum clock speed of 4.24GHz and an integrated Xclipse 970 GPU.
Samsung is expected to utilize the Exynos 2700 in the Galaxy S27, S27+, and potentially the S27 Pro models across most markets. While the Galaxy S27 Ultra is rumored to continue using Snapdragon silicon, some reports suggest the Exynos chip could eventually be considered for the Ultra model as well. These performance claims remain unconfirmed by independent testing, and details regarding thermal management and energy efficiency are not yet available.
