Samsung Financial Networks partners with Korean Police to support youth in crisis
Samsung Financial Networks has entered into a mutual cooperation agreement with the Korean National Police Agency and Lifeline Korea to support at-risk youth through a comprehensive system of counseling, rescue, and recovery.
Under the new framework, if an emergency situation is identified during counseling, the police will intervene for rescue operations. Following the rescue, Samsung Financial will provide support including one-on-one counseling, psychological testing, and connections to professional treatment facilities. This initiative builds upon Samsung Financial’s existing youth life respect projects, such as the ‘Likey Project’ and the 24-hour counseling channel ‘Lime,’ which has seen approximately 30,000 users as of August.
Additionally, the partnership aims to support the mental well-being of law enforcement officers. Samsung Financial plans to provide rest programs for approximately 290 members of the National Police Agency’s mental emergency response teams who may experience psychological trauma or burnout from frequent field deployments.
