Samsung Fire & Marine and SK Rent-a-Car partner for mobility services

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance and SK Rent-a-Car have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to collaborate on mobility services and risk management. The partnership aims to combine Samsung Fire & Marine’s risk management expertise with SK Rent-a-Car’s vehicle operational data to enhance fleet management services.

The collaboration will focus on optimizing the entire vehicle lifecycle—including purchase, operation, maintenance, accident management, and resale—to reduce the total cost of ownership. By integrating driving data with insurance risk analysis, the companies intend to improve accident prevention, streamline accident processing, and develop customized risk management solutions for drivers.

Furthermore, the two entities plan to explore new business models in future mobility sectors, such as electric vehicles (EVs), connected cars, and autonomous driving. This includes researching insurance and services tailored to these emerging technologies and examining cooperation opportunities in autonomous vehicle infrastructure and service-based fleet management.
