Apple releases watchOS 26.6 update for Apple Watch

Apple rolled out watchOS 26.6 on 27 July 2026, together with iOS, iPadOS and macOS 26.6. The update does not add new features but fixes a range of software bugs and security issues, restoring the integrity of the Apple Watch platform.

Users with Apple Watch Series 6 or later should install the update promptly. Installation requires the watch to be on a charger with at least a 50 % battery charge and can be started from the Watch app on the paired iPhone (Settings → General → Software Update) or directly on the watch (Settings → General → Software Update). After installation the device’s software and data protection are fully refreshed.
