Samsung Galaxy A08 4G receives FCC approval with upgraded 6000 mAh battery

The Samsung Galaxy A08 4G has been certified by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The filing shows the device will be offered in two variants, SM‑A085M (single‑SIM) and SM‑A085M/DS (dual‑SIM), and supports GSM, WCDMA and LTE (both FDD and TDD), dual‑band Wi‑Fi (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth and FM radio.

The certification lists a lithium‑ion LC‑196 battery rated at 5,830 mAh, with Samsung expected to market a typical capacity of about 6,000 mAh. Charging is limited to a maximum of 15 W via the EP‑T1510 adapter, though earlier A07 models supported up to 25 W. The phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, offers 4 GB, 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR4x RAM, and 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It ships with Android 17 and a rear‑mounted camera module. Samsung may later release a 5G version, expected after the 4G model’s launch.
