Samsung Galaxy A18 4G launched in Europe with Exynos 1610 chip

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A18 4G in European markets, including France, Norway, and Sweden. The new budget-friendly smartphone features a significant hardware shift, replacing the previous MediaTek Helio G99 chipset with the Samsung Exynos 1610 processor.

Key specifications include a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a 50MP main rear camera accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide and 2MP macro lens. The device is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging and carries an IP64 rating for improved dust and water splash resistance compared to its predecessor.

A standout feature is Samsung’s long-term software commitment; the device will ship with Android 17 and One UI 9.0, with a promise of six years of major OS updates and security patches lasting until late 2032.

Despite the hardware and software upgrades, the Galaxy A18 4G is noted to be more expensive than the Galaxy A17, with a starting price of approximately €280 in France. The device also integrates Galaxy AI features such as ‘Circle to Search’ and Google Gemini support.
