Samsung Galaxy Fit4 secures certification in Malaysia
Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Fit4 fitness tracker, model number SM-R391, has secured SIRIM certification in Malaysia. This regulatory milestone suggests the device is nearing its official market release.
Technical details from previous FCC filings indicate the Fit4 will maintain a design similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy Fit3, featuring a pill-shaped PPG sensor and physical side buttons. Connectivity is expected to be upgraded to Bluetooth 5.4 and Bluetooth Low Energy. However, the device is not expected to include Wi-Fi, NFC, built-in GPS, UWB, or LTE, maintaining its position as a lightweight health and fitness tracker rather than a full-featured smartwatch.
In addition to the Malaysian certification, the model number has previously appeared in India’s BIS database, hinting at a potential launch in the Indian market.
