Samsung Galaxy phones display stray AI options after update, Secure Folder highlighted
After updating to One UI 8.5, some older Samsung Galaxy devices began showing Galaxy AI features—such as Health Assist and Audio Eraser—that are normally reserved for newer models. The options appear briefly in the settings menu but cannot be accessed, leading to confusion among users. Samsung has addressed the Health Assist glitch with a Samsung Health app update (v6.32) and is investigating the unexplained Audio Eraser display.
Samsung also promotes the Secure Folder feature built on Knox, which creates an isolated space on Galaxy phones for apps, photos, banking information, and work data. Users can protect this folder with a PIN, hide its icon, and run multiple instances of apps like WhatsApp, enhancing privacy and security without extra cost.
