Samsung’s Galaxy smartphones include several hidden features that users can activate without installing third‑party apps. A built‑in compass appears in the Edge Panel’s tool menu, and a ruler can be opened from the same panel, offering unit switching between centimeters and inches with calibration options.

The camera app also contains an integrated document scanner that automatically detects text, allows multi‑page scanning, and provides editing tools such as perspective correction, filters and blemish removal. This capability is exclusive to the latest Galaxy S26 series.

Additionally, Samsung’s Connectivity Labs hide a Wi‑Fi inspection utility. By entering the hidden "Intelligent Wi‑Fi" menu and repeatedly tapping the Wi‑Fi smart label, users can launch Home Wi‑Fi inspection, which maps signal strength around the home and generates a visual graph of coverage.
