Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge faces criticism over battery life

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, a thin and lightweight flagship released to compete with the iPhone Air, has faced significant criticism following its first year on the market. Despite boasting high-end specifications—including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy processor and a 200MP main camera sensor similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra—the device has struggled with practical usability.

Reviewer Brady Snyder of Android Authority noted that while the design is appealing, featuring a 6.7-inch screen in a 5.8mm body weighing only 163 grams, the battery life is a critical failure. The device reportedly struggles to last a full day, necessitating mid-day or evening charging regardless of power-saving efforts. Due to these issues and the lack of a successor, the model is being characterized as a failed experiment in Samsung's thin-device lineup.
