Samsung Boosts Galaxy S26 Production After Record Sales in South Korea

Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S26, has become a top‑seller in South Korea, outpacing the previous model by selling twice as fast. Within weeks of launch the series exceeded three million units sold, breaking sales records and helping lift Korean exports.

In response to the surge, Samsung raised its July production target from one million to 1.5 million devices – a 50 % increase – to meet demand. The German report noted the change: “statt der ursprünglich geplanten eine Million Smartphones sollen nun 1,5 Millionen Geräte gefertigt werden.” Analysts attribute part of the boom to limited‑time discounts and consumer concerns that the upcoming Galaxy S27 will be priced higher, prompting buyers to upgrade early. The rapid sell‑through has been reported across Italy, Germany, Slovakia, the Netherlands, Turkey, the Czech Republic, the United States and India, highlighting the global attention on Samsung’s Korean flagship performance.
