Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra named one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026

The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has been included in TIME magazine’s annual list of the Best Inventions of 2026. The recognition highlights the device's integrated Privacy Display technology, which Samsung describes as the world’s first integrated privacy protection screen for a mobile phone.

Unlike traditional solutions that might obscure the entire screen, this technology allows for selective privacy. Users can choose to hide specific portions of the display, such as PIN entries or incoming notifications, while keeping the rest of the interface visible to the user. This feature is designed to protect user privacy in public spaces like transit or cafes.

In addition to the Privacy Display, the device features Galaxy AI capabilities and advanced camera systems. This marks the fourth time a device from the Galaxy series has appeared on TIME’s prestigious list, following the Galaxy Z Flip5, Galaxy S22 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip3.
