Samsung Galaxy S27 Edge rumored to revive ultra-thin smartphone line

Rumors suggest Samsung may revive the ‘Edge’ branding for a new ultra-thin smartphone, the Galaxy S27 Edge, potentially arriving in 2027. Leaked specifications for the device currently offer conflicting details.

One report describes a compact 5.8-inch model with a chassis in the low 4-millimeter range and a 4,300mAh battery. A second, conflicting leak suggests a larger 6.8-inch handset with a thickness of 5.4mm.

This potential revival follows the commercial difficulties faced by the Galaxy S25 Edge, which was noted for its thin profile but limited battery capacity and hardware compromises. While the standard Galaxy S27 lineup is expected in early 2027, the Edge variant may arrive later in the year if it is developed as a separate fifth model.
